Dial Indicator Stand for Valve Regulation
By Bill Maguire

Duaine, I sell what you are looking for similar as what D.L. Bullock
described. It is a stand designed to be used with a dial indicator.

It is a rectangular shaped piece of steel, 3/8-inch thick, with
a hole drilled into which the dial indicators shaft slides. There is
a nylon screw that locks the dial indicator in place. There are three
machine screws which, along with the nylon screw, adjust the dial
indicators height.

Locknuts lock the screws in place so they won't move after adjustment.
There are 14 holes drilled and tapped into the steel body to accommodate
many different situations on valve board stacks.

I am now selling these for $25. They are professionally machined. The
dial indicator itself can be purchased from a machinist supply place.

Machinist supply places sell a stand with a magnetic base which are
ideally suited for use measuring travel on unit valves. You can
purchase an economy magnetic base from Manhattan Supply Co., with dial
indicator and point kit, for as little as $40.
