Apollo/ArtEcho Reproducing Pianos & Rolls
By Howard Jensen

Now Bruce Mercer has gotten my attention. My first venture (about
twenty years ago) into piano restoration was a Wurlitzer Apollo piano.
After completing what I thought was a job well done, we would listen to
QRS rolls. Then my uncle, whose hobby long preceded mine, gave me one
Apollo roll. After getting bored listening to that, my interests turned
toward other instruments. That roll remains in that piano, which
probably gets played maybe once a month.

My question is, how many Wurlitzer Apollos exist today, and is there a
need for reproducing the rolls?
