Chickering & Mackays Square Piano
By Skip Downing

Dear MMDers,

I know this isn't technically an automated musical instrument topic, but
I'm looking for information about a piano which may be of significant
historic value. It's a Chickering & Mackays square, circa 1835, in
amazing condition but needing pinblock, etc.

Is anybody here conversant enough with these pianos to know whether
we're dealing with a museum piece or just another six-foot square? Any
help or tips for connecting with a specialist would be truly ppreciated.

Musically,
Skip Downing
