Musical Box Movement for Child's Rocking Chair
By Bob Hodge

I had one of these in childhood. This is likely a simple escapement
mechanism that doesn't wind a spring, but plays the cylinder while
rocking. An angled finger touches the floor and when the chair rocks,
the finger actuates an escapement which turns the cylinder.

Unless there are parts mangled or missing , this should be an easy
repair.
