Repairing Mattel Metal Toy Musical Box
By Kathy Roetzer

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMD --

I recently repaired a "Farmer in the Dell" Mattel revolving metal toy
musical box. I tried the suggestion to use fabric glue on the turning
shaft, but was unsuccessful; the glue rubbed off quite quickly. I then
cut a piece of double-side adhesive tape to fit the length of the shaft
and carefully rolled it completely around it, pressing it gently to
adhere to the shaft. It now works perfectly and the characters come
out of the barn right on time.

Just a suggestion for anyone with one that does not play.

Sincerely, Kathy
