Rolls for Aeolian Player Organ
By Leslie Hoffman

Hi everyone. I am still trying to learn about the Aeolian Player
Organs. The one I just purchased requires that the rolls have end
pieces that are cupped inward, much like my player piano Ampico rolls.
Yet on eBay, right now, there are some Aeolian Grand Organ rolls
listed that have the pin ends, much like the rolls my Princesses use.
Does anyone have an insight on this "mystery" to me? Thank you.

Leslie Hoffman

[ According to the descriptions compiled by Richard Vance at
 [ http://mmd.foxtail.com/MMMedia/identifying.html music rolls
[ for "58-note standard organ" were usually wound on pin-end
[ spools but occasionally are found with the same concave flanges
[ as 88-note player piano rolls. -- Robbie
