It is my sad duty to report that MMD list member Marc Elbasani died
Wednesday morning from a swimming accident at his local fitness club.
He was 26 years old.

I met Marc in 1998 and he introduced me to the mechanical music world.
Together we built a small computer-controlled organ and were planning a
second instrument.  Besides his interests in music, he was an architect
and an artist.  I will miss him.

 [ Marc was an avid fan of band organs and frequently visited the old
 [ carousel and organ at Tilden Park in his home town of Berkeley,
 [ Calif.  In 1998 he arranged with John Malone to produce a series
 [ of CDs of music rolls played on John's original Wurlitzer 165 organ.
 [ He wrote to MMD several times about Jeanne Malone and her work at
