Rubber Bands Around Music Rolls
By Paul Morris

There are excellent reasons for keeping paper music rolls tightly
bound in their boxes, and rubber bands have been an ideal solution
for many years. It is sad that the rubber used for modern rubber bands
does not last as long as the rubber of years ago; this could be for
a number of reasons. But one sure way to keep an eye on the situation
is to regularly play your rolls!

If you play each roll every two years or so you will spot perishing
rubber bands. If you have rolls that you have not played for ten
years, perhaps you should have sold them by now! Only a thought.
