Steck Duo-Art Piano in UK
By Niels Berkers

Hi All, A few days ago I asked if somebody had a player action for
a Steck Duo-Art piano. I got a few reactions and hope a Steck Duo-Art
Pedal Electric action located in Cambridge UK might fit. I'm going to
have a look at this gutted Steck piano upcoming on Wednesday.

According to the owner the piano is in good shape except it needs
regulation. The piano has a door for the foot-pedals, but is marked
'Duo-Art'. This means (I guess) it was either a pedal only (half)
Duo-Art or a Pedal/Electric Duo Art.

Is there anything I might base on which system would have been in that
particular piano? I was thinking maybe I could find traces of wiring
or connection points for a motor or things like that. Are there any
other clues I must look for?

What chance is there that this PEDA action would fit the Steck piano?
I have absolutely no idea. Nobody told me I'm trying the impossible
here (yet).

I'm going to take measurements of the Steck piano next Wednesday to
make sure the action would physically fit in the piano. Again, what
should I watch out for? Thank you in advance.

helping with a Steck Duo-Art -- all in my spare time!
