Scale of "Melodikon" Self-Playing Glockenspiel
By Hauke Marxsen

Hi Jean, I am sure you own a "Melodikon". Those musical boxes
were built in the former DDR (East Germany). I have one but it needs
some repairs; meanwhile it's been resting many years in the basement,
waiting to get fixed.

In "Das Mechanische Musikinstrument" Nr. 83, April 2002, page 29-30,
the journal of the German society "Gesellschaft fuer Selbstspielende
Musikinstrumente" (GSM), is an article about the Melodikon by Horst
Riesebeck, a well-known restaurateur living in Berlin. His information
about the scale:

  c#, d#, f, f#, g#, a#, h, c#, d#, f, f#

Maybe it helps you.

Merry Christmas and all the best for 2007!

Hauke Marxsen
