Attaching Pneumatics with RTV Silicone Adhesive
By Christian Greinacher

Initiated by Paddy Handscombe's posting recently, some questions showed
up in today's MMD. I jump into the boat of the questioners! I would
like to try and to experiment with this interesting stuff but I do not
know what is PTA or RTV and from whom and where I could get it here in
Germany. I "googled" through the Internet (German web sites) and found
a huge variety of RTV's and PTA's.

Could Paddy or somebody else tell us precisely what product or brand we
have to look for, here in Germany or at least somewhere in the European
community? Can we order it via the Internet? From whom?

And: How is RTV silicone adhesive related to Phenoseal?

My best regards from Germany,
Christian Greinacher

[ A typical RTV silicone adhesive sealant is General Electric RTV108,
[ distributed in Germany by GE Bayer Silicones of Leverkusen,
 [ http://www.gesilicones.com/gesilicones/eu1/de/home.jsp
 [
[ "Phenoseal® Vinyl Adhesive Caulk" is produced by the Gloucester
[ Co. of Franklin, Massachusetts (www.phenoseal.com). The trademark
[ is now owned by DAP of Baltimore, Maryland (www.dap.com).
