Monogram on Band Organ Facade
By Matthew Caulfield

Can anyone identify the monogram initials H.S.C., or H.C.S., or S.H.C,
or any other of the possible permutations that three letters can have?

As is the usual case with decorative monograms, the letters are piled
on top of each other on the facade of a band organ, and thus could be
read in any order.

Matthew Caulfield, Irondequoit, New York --
planning a trip over to Ithaca today to see the steam-powered
Welte-Mignon, which I believe to be merely a calliope in disguise!
