Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Organs
By Matthew Caulfield

This information comes second-hand from Donaven Staab, the man at
Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in charge of their audio systems and band
organs. Their Ruth organ probably won't be back in the park before
the end of the season or close to it. But Don Stinson, of the Stinson
Band Organ Company, promises "it will be a very good sounding organ
when it returns."

For some reason, the façade has been temporarily removed from the
park's newly acquired Wurlitzer 165 band organ until some time next
month. That means not only an embarrassing nakedness of the organ
as it plays, but also some loss of volume modulation due to the absence
of the organ's swell shutters.
