"Notewalk", Another Music Roll Editor Program
By Piet Paardekam

-- forwarded message, please reply to sender and MMD --

Hello all, Many people are using now "Noteur" to edit their organ
MIDIs. Still there are people that cannot use it because they work
with the 'raw files' in the same layout as the instrument they are
working for. For years they are used to seeing the notes in the
original instrument pattern and they do not want to switch to the
approach with standard MIDI files. They mostly use "Cakewalk" or
"Cubase" and any MIDI mapper program for proper display during the
work.

For those people I have made a new program, "Notewalk". This program
looks very similar to "Noteur" but it only works with raw files in
instrument layout. It uses an instrument description, the well-known
gamma that is used in "Noteur" and "Midiboek", and is able to playback
the MIDI without the use of any MIDI mapper program. Even the drum
notes are played in proper time so there is no need to maintain
separate drum tracks for playback. "Notewalk" is suitable to edit
piano rolls for player pianos, as well. "Notewalk" also has the
MPL-programming facility.

You can find "Notewalk" on my web site under "Other software":

Piet Paardekam, the Netherlands
