Missing Recordo Drawer Parts
By Dave Krall

Re: Howard Auto-Deluxe Recordo with Simplex-style Flippers

I suspect that David Anderson's Howard Recordo (080406 MMD) with the
Simplex-style "works in the drawer" and flipper levers dates after June
1927. That was when the Conway Company unloaded, err, I mean sold,
Simplex Player Action Company to the _astute_ businessmen of Kohler
Industries, owners of Auto-Deluxe and Standard Player Action Company.

Thus, features of the Simplex system were available for use in their
various brands of player actions. I suspect Theodore Brown retired a
very wealthy man.
