Late Aeolian Automatic Shutoff After Rewind
By Jim Jelinek

Hi everyone, This problem has come up before on the Aeolian players
and the culprit is the small pneumatic or bellows that shuts off the
switch to the left in the spool box. Usually the pneumatic is all
dried out and leaky; the piece will need to be stripped of its old
rubber cloth and recovered with new.

This seems to be the most common problem with the shutoff on the
Aeolian brand players, but there are others on the older models with
spool drop switches. I don't believe that the "Sting" models used
the spool switches so most likely it's the tiny pneumatic that's bad
or the shutoff signal hole in the tracker bar is clogged.
