Threaded Rod for Screw Eye Adjusters
By Craig Smith

[Ref. 090820 MMDigest, Source of Tread Cutting Tools, by Doug Baker]

Hi Doug, Thanks for the suggestion, but that's a different size. The
1.5 mm X 0.5 pitch is (in English units) 0.059" diameter rather than
0.055". The threads measure a little less than 0.65 metric pitch,
40 threads per inch would be 0.635. Also, the taps that Tap and Die
Company sells are for making cut threads, not rolled. If I can't find
anything closer and if I can't figure out how to make the same size,
maybe I'll have to settle for that size on 1/16" brass rod.

Regards,
Craig Smith
