Thanks to Jürgen Hocker for making the Nancarrow piano rolls available.
Up to now, Nancarrow's reputation has rested too much on second-hand
reports.  The present set of YouTube performances allow one to form
a personal opinion of the musical value of Nancarrow's work.

YouTube provides a unique opportunity for enjoying a performance of
his rolls because the video and the audio aspects can be separated.
One can view his unusual use of the Ampico's control channels and
the placement and groupings of the notes without the necessity of
presenting the audio to ears unfit for appreciating the finer aspects
of the resulting sound.
