Audio Recordings of Mechanical Music
By Will Herzog

Knowing that everything fails, we made recordings of our favorite rolls
on our player 10 years ago. I just played around with where to put the
recorder and found that along the side of the piano (getting sounds from
the soundboard and wall) worked okay, but we preferred 10 feet in front
of the piano, where we would stand and sing along, even if pump noises
and people noises were recorded.

Any memory booster beats nothing -- and is very affordable.
