"Votey Pattern" Duo-Art Test Roll Available
By Julian Dyer

I'm offering a Duo-Art test roll. It's based on a British "Votey
Pattern" roll (as is written on the original that I copied). This is
pretty well the same as the "Test Roll Number 3" except that it doesn't
have the musical excerpts at the end. Instead, it has a run of each
note played at level 0 with sustaining pedal on, to test for evenness.

This is a perforation-accurate recut, so the repetition test at the
start is even and identical for each note (which is certainly not true
for many older recuts). I've made one change compared to the original,
which is to extend the length of the arpeggios used to set zero level.
I've repeated this section with the second set transposed outwards by
An octave to test notes closer to the top and bottom of the scale,
which in my experience are more likely to be inconsistent than those
in the middle.

I have no facility to print on the rolls so offer an insert sheet instead.
