Rubber Bands Around Music Rolls
By Jim Harper

I have found that elasticized -- not plain rubber -- hair bands are
useful for:

- storing rolls that lack their boxes;

- restraining stiff paper rolls that tend to naturally uncoil, e.g.,
  Tanzbar rolls;

- rolls that have suffered ancient water damage and need to be stored
  tightly rolled to stop the paper puckering;

- large rolls when being carried any distance while out of their box.

Such cases could amount to, say, two percent of my roll collection;
the other 98% stays unrestrained.
