Restoring Ampico Knobs & Escutcheons
By Donald Cochrane

I am almost finished with my Ampico restoration. When I am finished,
I would like to send the escutcheons and switch knobs somewhere to
have them re-plated with a little antiqueness(?) to them. They are dull
and I'm afraid to clean them much more as the finish will come off
completely.

I do like the fact that they have a bit darker inside -- a two-tone
effect. Has anyone ever had these redone and can recommend the person
that did it?

Regards,
Donald Cochrane
