Hi,  Just to set the record straight, I was not proposing that the MMD
switch over to a forum-based service; in fact I like how it operates.
But a forum would allow for a quicker flow of information for those
that would like to use a service.  As it's free, and it's relatively
easy to set up, it could act as a helpful _addition_ to the site.

It could also add to the group, making it a place for people to make
friends and meet contacts.  Maybe it's because I am a young person, but
I thought that this addition would have been welcomed.  Moderators can
be used to help members who are having difficulty with registration or
posting or understanding the features of a forum.

The Pianola Forum is great, but what is wrong with having a USA-based
resource for mechanical music enthusiasts?  I agree, there is no need
to use an alias, but we must respect some individuals that may not wish
to post on MMD and remain private.
