Donating a Collection to an Institution
By Bruce Grimes

Give it to a younger AMICAn. That's what we've planned to do
with our pianos and rolls, including the concert grand Steinway.
He doesn't know who he is, yet...

If the instruments had all been in museums, how many of us would
have been able to enjoy them? I like to play my instruments, to
party with them, to dust the house with them. I've loved them
since I was 5, now I'm 67.

Much of what I've seen in museums just limps along. If the best
examples all go to museums, what's left for another generation to
play as the oceans rise around them?

Let the instruments die through use rather than decaying in some
Mechanical Music Mausoleum!
