Passing of Richard Rigg, Former MBSI President
By Ralph Schack

With profound sadness we report that a dear friend and long time MBSI
and AMICA member, Richard Rigg, passed away recently.

Richard was an important part of the mechanical music and clock fields.
He was a noted restorer, active member and meeting host of the Southern
California Chapter, MBSI's Annual Meeting Chairman several times, and
was MBSI President 1988-89. He was always helpful to those seeking his
advice and input.

Richard's niece reported that he had declined rapidly in the past
two months, came down with a severe infection, went into hospice care
afterwards and ultimately faded away. No services have been planned
as of now. If we learn anything more we'll let you know.

We have all lost an outstanding mechanical music and clock enthusiast
who did much to expand and enhance those fields.
