Seek Duo-Art "Stars Fell on Alabama"
By Jim Ridgewell

Hi -- I was wondering if anyone might have a copy of the Duo-Art
roll, "Stars Fell on Alabama," played by Victor Arden (possibly
Duo-Art no. 0996) that they would be willing to sell? Either an
original or a copy would be fine so long as it is in good playable
condition.

My copy is a 1950s British re-cut under the "Medcraft" label and
it is too rough in parts to play easily. Worse still, a production
error means the punchings don't remain quite the same distance from the
edge the whole way through, so you can really only play it by fiddling
manually with the tracking ears!

It is such a beautiful arrangement of a real standard and would be
so grateful to have a decent, enjoyable copy. I'm in Britain (with a
Hayes-Middlesex-built Weber) but I would pay postage from the USA if
needs be. Can anyone help?

All the best,
Jim Ridgewell
