Seeburg Rewind Problem
By Giovanni Vitiello

Hi everyone, I am Giovanni Vitiello from Italy. For the AMMI museum
in Cesena I have personally repaired a Seeburg L model bought in the
United States. It was not working properly because of a problem in
the rewind box.

The main reason was due to the glue used, such as Bostik PVA glue
or silicone adhesive. Instead I have applied hot glue, which gives
a much better result.

All the leather and the leather trimmings were remade! Holes located
in the upper part of the rewind box had been sealed with Bostik, which
is terrible for good work, so I repaired the leather and cleaned the
holes, which is a very important step for the final result.

But the most important thing is to take care of the leather sealing
as well as to make sure about the functioning of the two valves inside
the rewind box.

I hope my suggestion can be helpful.

Regards,
Giovanni Vitiello
