Rear Access Door in Stella Upright Musical Box
By Kevin McElhone

I have recently come across an upright Stella disc musical box
which plays 25-inch diameter discs. Around the back of it there is
a small hinged door, about 6 inches square, which is locked and there
is no key. Does anyone know what is behind this door? Is it access
for lubrication or some other purpose? I can send a photo bit I do
not think it will tell anyone anything.

When writing my book I did not ask people to pull their machines
out from the wall to tell me of any 'secret' access doors like this,
but I would be interested to know of any more on other makes.

Many thanks,
Kevin McElhone
