Census of JA-FI Marionette Monkeys
By Terry Bender

I am trying to track down how many of the JA-FI marionette organ
grinder monkeys are in the USA. These are the furry monkeys which,
through levers, can tip their hats, stick out their tongues and wiggle
their ears, among other things.

The monkeys were created by a German organ grinding couple, Franz
Fischer and Helene Jacoby, who live near Cologne. The late Hal
O'Rourke was responsible for organizing the immigration of the monkeys
to the USA. I would like to put together a story about the JA-FI
monkeys, their creators, and how they are used here in the USA.
