J. Bodewalt Lampe, Piano Roll Artist
By Bryan Cather

[ Ref. Ed Gaida in 140308 MMDigest]

J. Bodewalt Lampe was most assuredly a real person! A prolific
composer, arranger and recording artist of the early 20th century,
Lampe's compositions run the gamut of popular styles, from waltzes
and marches to cakewalks and ragtime. Most all are uniformly good,
as well. For more information see

[ Lampe's musical theme, "Mysterioso Pizzicato," is the familiar
[ "villain music" associated with silent movies. Ref.
