Hunt VirtualRoll MIDI Interface in Production
By Herb Lindahl

To all readers of MMD: I am writing to announce the continuation of
production of the Hunt VirtualRoll MIDI Interface system for
pneumatically operated instruments. With the continued leadership
of the Hunt family, including Bob Hunt's son, Rob Hunt, production,
sales and service of the VirtualRoll System continues uninterrupted.

I trained with Bob Hunt for over 18 months prior to Bob's passing.
During this period I quickly became aware of how gifted Bob was as
an engineer and player piano restorer. I continue to work with the
Hunt family on final assembly and testing of the VirtualRoll System.
I am confident many of you on this list already own this system in
your Ampico, Duo-Art or Welte piano.

The system allows the piano owner to still play paper rolls, while
having the added ability of listening to thousands of scanned original
rolls available from several websites on the internet. Please feel
free to contact me or visit the VirtualRoll website where photos of
the system and complete descriptions of the many features can be found:

  http://www.virtualroll.com/

Be sure to listen to the mp3 audio file of the beautiful Steinway OR
grand piano outfitted with the Hunt VirtualRoll System. We have
recently added a wireless system so the piano can be operated without
the control point being tethered to the piano. The wireless option
works from most laptops.

Thank you,
Herb Lindahl
