Unknown Duo-Art Tunes on YouTube
By Allen Ford

[ Ref. Jay Satoshi in 140725 MMDigest ]

I knew I had this music on either Ampico or Welte and I thought it
sounded very Spanish so I played through all of my recordings by
Spanish composers and then thought it likely was a composer imitating
Spanish music.

Before checking all of that type of music, I read Julian Dyer's post
which sent me to Welte roll 7437, Chaminade - La Morena (The Brunette),
Caprice Espagñole, Op. 67, played by Claude Duret, recently recut by
Meliora Music Rolls, and yes, it is a fine recording of the second of
the at one time unknown YouTube recordings.
