Orchestrions Built By Bernhard Dufner
By William Edgerton

Regarding Mike Walter's post about Dufner orchestrions, three are
known. My own, a military band organ in Maine, and a large one with
an automata band in the Siegfried Wendel museum in Ruedesheim, Germany.

A lengthy article on Dufner by me and Craig Smith of Rochester, New
York, appeared in the January/February, 2012, issue of "Mechanical
Music", The Journal of the Musical Box Society, International. The
article gives Dufner's known history and has photos of Dufner's
three known instruments. The article is available for members on
the MBSI web site. I can send a PDF copy to anyone wishing to see
it, please contact me offline at wedgerton@aol.com.geentroep [delete
".geentroep" to reply].
