For sale: a complete, working, Duo-Art system from 1927 Steinway XR
grand piano. I heard the player right before removal from the piano
and, on an 88-note roll at least ("Dizzy Fingers"), it sounded great.
The Tempo control wasn't working, and I explained that this could be
fixed in an hour, but was told that the pneumatic player system had to
go, anyhow, to make room for a PianoDisc setup. So it was all taken
out and boxed up, to the very last escutcheon and pin! (It's from a
remarkably well-cared-for piano, I'll add.)
All of the work that someone did on it likely 10-15 years ago, from
appearances, was factory-neat and "top-notch"; no "butchery" whatsoever.
Email or call me if interested.
