Ed Openshaw's B.A.B. Perforator
By George Karpel

In reference to Matthew Caulfield's posting in 150817 MMDigest,
 [ http://www.mmdigest.com/Archives/Digests/201508/2015.08.17.01.html
I was wondering whether or not all the masters for the different styles
of B.A.B. band organ rolls would also be sold along with the perforator.
The B.A.B. roll styles would include 46-key, 48-key, 61-key, 66-key
and the largest style, the 87-key B.A.B. roll.

To my knowledge, there is only one carousel that plays the 87-key roll
and that is located in Spokane, Washington. There are a few carousels
that play the 66-key roll, including the Buckroe carousel in Virginia;
Tilden Park carousel in Berkeley, Calif., and the B&B Carousell in
Coney Island. Of course the beautiful Bruder "Elite" Apollo Bruder
is located in Arcadia, Calif., in the private collection of the Doring
Family.

So, even though organs that play Wurlitzer rolls are more familiar to
most people, there are still a growing number of people who appreciate
the B.A.B. arrangements.
