Refinishing 20-note Hofbauer Organ Metal Pipes
By Charles Davis

Hello MMDers, Does anyone have any experience in getting metal pipes
renewed? I have a 25-year-old 20-note Hofbauer crank organ that,
I feel, needs the pipes re-plated somehow. They look like they are
black underneath the "brass" plating; these being made from a 1988
Hofbauer kit. I would certainly accept some educating on this subject.

Also, I am wondering if the pipes with visible open tops should have
some kind of "acorn" on the tops, which may help to finish off the look
of the pipes. E-mail to me at davis_ch1@verizon.net.geentroep (drop
the ".geentroep" if emailing me direct).

Thanks,
Charles Davis
