Aeolian Duo-Art Piano Finishes in 1927
By Alan Brehaut

Hello MMDers, I am refinishing some panels on a mahogany Stroud
Duo-Art piano of 1927 and would like to use the same finish as
original. Does anyone know what finish Aeolian would use in 1927?

In the radio industry I believe there was a mass change to spray-on
cellulose finishes (such as Duco) almost overnight in 1925, abandoning
shellac (French polish) or varnish. Any help would be appreciated,

Regards,
Alan Brehaut
