K. Harmas, Player Piano Collector
By Bruce Clark

I remember K. Harmas. I do not believe his name was Kay, but the
letter 'K'. He told me that.

In the 1970s he stopped by to visit for a couple days and stayed
three weeks! I was worn out by the time he decided to head home.
He was very curious and took notes as I talked about the Ampico.
He told me about the 9-foot Steinway Duo-Art that was stored in his
garage.

He vanished as suddenly as he appeared, and I never heard from him
again. I was told that he passed away suddenly, and unexpectedly.
