"De Poppenspaeler" (The Puppet Player) was built circa 1989 by Frederic Keller especially to perform for the children outside the Puppet Theater Museum in Luebeck, Germany. Keller is a Black Forest craftsman now living in France and, true to the traditions of Waldkirch, the scale of the 47-key organ is based upon a tried-and-proven design by Carl Frei. Powered by a hand-crank, it has 176 pipes and features a loud, sonorous bass voice which demands lots of air !
