Steinway Model "F" 1890
By Roger Stern

Thanks to several of you kind folks out there, I am learning more and more about this fine instrument that was passed down to me from the family tree.

It is an ebony Steinway upright model "F" @ 4'-5.5" mfg'd in 1890.

I'm planning to have the action checked over soon, and at that time I want to have the ebony case refinished.

I would appreciate any thoughts any of you might have regarding any special precautions or considerations regarding the action and the ebony refinish.

Roger form Bainbridge Island, Washington State.
