Hello! I just recently joined this list and would like to introduce myself. My name is Bruno H. Repp and I am an experimental psychologist interested in music perception and performance. I have done some descriptive analyses of expression (mainly expressive timing) in piano performances, measured from acoustic recordings or obtained in MIDI format from a Yamaha Disclavier. (Some references are listed below.) I don't know anything about automatic instruments, but I am interested in any MIDI data that may become publicly available as the result of piano roll transfers. I am interested in historical changes in expressive style (again mainly in timing) and in the nature and origin of individuality in (piano) performance. I would appreciate receiving any relevant information. Thank you in advance.
