Howdy Nada from the Lone Star State!
By Jack Kane

Howdy Nada from the Lone Star State!

I love the disc music boxes -- I would really appreciate any input you might have on the subject. Currently I am trying to figure out how to get the information from a disc into a computer format that would be "translatable" into another disc format (say from a Mira to a Polyphon.) What kind of boxes are you interested in? Any ideas on new music for these machines? What about a music box which reads the disc either optically or using the starwheel gantry to trigger switches which would play or "translate" the notes (say a Stella for the former or a 27" Regina for the latter?)
