RE: Problems with large 88 note rolls

Thanks to everyone for your responses & suggestions -- It's actually comforting to hear that I'm not the only one that has this little glitch...even on the same roll (Wizard of Oz)!

Les, this weekend I'll check the various things you suggested (tightening motor screws, set screws on drive gears, idler pulley)...but everything I've read says to loosen or disconnect the rewind brake, to prevent tearing of rolls during rewind. I always rewind large rolls via foot power (even if I've played it electrically), and then tighten them _slightly_ by hand when done.
