Okay, so I missed the date by a year... I said 1976, meant to say 1975 (for Broadway and Houston).

However, from what I've read, the 1972 performances at Morehouse & Wolf Trap were "recitals" more than actual, full performances -- I define a full performance as actors in costume, choreography, sets, etc., rather than a stageful of singers on risers with soloists. If you're going to classify these as full performances, then Joplin himself did one in Harlem.. singers only, accompanied by him on piano.

In any case, I 'm sorry if my date was slightly inaccurate... I'm just looking for the piece on piano rolls!!!
