MMD Archives February 1997 1997.02.05 06 Prev  Next Tel-Ektra Piano By Rob DeLand At the risk of denying the MMD membership the chance to hear about Tel-Ektra pianos & rolls, may I suggest that Gale Chase call Bob & Ginny Billings. They have 2 of these instruments. I got a demonstration when I visited, and it was really neat! They even had about 80 rolls, including some rags. Bob can tell you all about the mechanism. These are fascinating machines with lots of interesting features, and Bob's plays with expression. I think he can tell you a few tricks to restoring and rewiring them as well.
