"Homemade" Player Stacks
By Stephen Kent Goodman

In MMD #970524, Andy T. discusses a variety of do-it-yourself player
stack options. I just wanted him and others to know about Craig
Brougher's book, "The Orchestrion Builder's Manual & Pneumatics Handbook".

Save yourselves a lot of wasted time, materials and money - read the
chapters on building your own pneumatic stack & ideal valve designs.
His designs are superb and will save you much time "reinventing the
wheel" or discovering why valves don't seat right, bleed sizes,
adequate vacuum channeling sizes and holes, etc. and et al.

I have been rebuilding/restoring pneumatic instruments since 1969 and
am amazed how Craig "hits the nail on the head" with his expertise
and engineering insights.
