Beer Songs
By Nancy Fratti

Hi..! Am just back from July 4th festivities and saw a few evident
responses about Beer Songs. The origins of this must be on one of the
MMDs I lost in my power failure.

Would just like to ad a quickie -- there was a song called "Estudiantina
Waltz" which was used as the theme song for Rheingold Beer. Rheingold
was basically distributed on the East Coast of the U.S. (When I've
mentioned the song to some friends in the West/mid-West they never heard
of it).

The lyrics went like this: (Isn't it amazing how these thing stick
with you?! I heard this in the '60's and don't even drink beer!)

"My beer is Rheingold the dry beer.
Think of Rheingold whenever you buy beer.
     It's not bitter, not sweet,
     Extra dry flavored treat,
Won't you try extra dry Rheingold beer."

Sing it to "Estudiantina" and it fits perfectly!
