Tilting Grand Piano
By Sam Harris

I am no expert here but I have been following the postings concerning
tilting a grand. I understand and agree that tilting a grand over using
the lyre is risky and is not a good idea, but I was just thinking since
we take the lyre off most of the time (or at least I would) couldn't
someone make a wood or preferably metal adjustable leg to be fitted in
the place of the lyre. This would allow one the use this valuable
balance point the lyre offers and at the same time completely remove the
lyre from all danger.

I'm no expert piano mover and this idea may be stupid but I thought I
would throw it out to you more experienced men and let you decide if this
idea has any merit.
