Dual Roll Player for Organ
By Dick Beery

I recently found and purchased a dual 88 note roll player. It apparently
was designed for use with organs as it has electrical contacts as the
output. It has never been restored. I am hoping to use it with the 17-
rank theater organ project I recently acquired (if anyone is interested in
my project, I would welcome e-mail).

Now I need help in identifying the roll player and how it was designed to
work. There are no identifying marks and all nameplates are worn smooth.
It is about as long as a normal 88 note player stack, but it has two
spool boxes and tracker bars. Both tracker bars are 88 note with sustain
hole. Roll tracking is with tabs and fish line adjusters. The tubing
from the tracker bars are Y'ed before they go into the pneumatic to
electric manifold. There are several additional larger pneumatics that
appear to shift/control things in the manifold area.

I realize this isn't much to go on but would appreciate any information
you might have on such a device. Thanks

Dick Beery
