Leathers from Leather Supply House
By Matthew Caulfield

Following up on Hal Davis' mention of the Leather Supply House
furnishing a price list for a pretty wide variety of restoration-
quality leathers for the mechanical music trade:

I want to mention that Marilyn (she doesn't use her last name, so
I can't say what it is) also sends out a sample sheet containing
postage-stamp size samples of about 15 or 20 leathers, including a
couple of weights of zephyr skin, deer, calf, hair sheep, goat,
cabretta, etc.

Speaking of names, is anyone here so intimate with Q. David Bowers
that they know what the "Q" stands for? A friend of mine always
refers to him as "Q." rather than as "Dave" but neither of us have
any idea what it stands for.
